Government Accountability Project is the international leader in whistleblower protection and advocacy. Founded in 1977, we are a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting government and corporate accountability through litigating whistleblower cases, publicizing whistleblowers’ disclosures and developing legal reforms.
This Whistleblowing Library was inspired by Professor Robert G. Vaughn, a leading legal scholar whose work on whistleblowing over decades has been influential in the field. Professor Vaughn and his research assistants compiled an initial bibliography of resources related to whistleblowing and encouraged Government Accountability Project to share these via an online database that we, as recognized experts and advocates on whistleblowing, could host, curate and maintain over time.
Government Accountability Project would like to thank the following for their support in launching this new resource:
Professor Robert G. Vaughn and his research assistants from American University Washington School of Law;
Hack4Impact and the team University of Pennsylvania chapter’s team members, led by Sarah Raines, for developing the Whistleblowing Library platform;
The many volunteers and interns at Government Accountability Project who researched and submitted hundreds of resources to this database; and
To future users of the Whistleblowing Library, for both contributing suggestions for new resources to add the database and for their interest in whistleblowing.
